Honoring the Eagle Wing Storyline
The eagle wing the young girl holds in her hand is a sacred ceremonial item used to capture the spirit of the person who owned the wing. This sacred item can be used to connect with the spirit of each past owner of the wing -- it was been handed down from generation to generation.

Alvin Marshall is an award-winning Navajo sculptor who works chiefly with stone, often sculpting outside amid the elements. He studied under renowned Navajo artist Oreland Joe in the 1980’s and later spent time in Italy to gain insight into Italian sculpture and art history. Each of his figurative and animal pieces is unique, one-of-a-kind and often tells a story deeply rooted in Navajo culture and Marshall’s own experiences.
