Please join us this Saturday, June 20th at 8 am for "Wild About Art," Rowe Fine Art Gallery's Live-stream series. Enjoy a unique opportunity to learn more about Ken Rowe and our award-winning family of artists - their talents, personalities, and the driving force behind their creations.

In Episode 13, Part 1 of 2 - “Carving Out A Place In Time: Palette Knife and En Plein Air with Dane Chinnock,” let us introduce you to a real treasure. Prescott painter Dane Chinnock is the find of renowned wildlife sculptor and gallery owner, Ken Rowe. Dane was one in a flock of talented artists who submitted artwork to the Phippen Museum in Prescott, Arizona for the juried Annual Western Art Show and Sale. When the best compete with the best, competition is fierce. For several years now, Ken Rowe has been asked to serve as one of the events professional jurors. As an artist, Ken has a natural eye for talent, yet he felt compelled to pose a question to his fellow jurors: "Of all the young talent in this show, whose work would you say holds the most promise?" The response was unanimous. It had to be the vigorous and striking palette knife landscapes by their local own, Dane Chinnock. Dane walked away from his first museum showing with sold paintings to discerning collectors, as well as an award tucked proudly under his arm.

Dane's success as an artist is rightfully deserved, though the man remains humble. "I've been painting for a long time, but it's been over the past six years that I've been able to pursue art with real intensity. I've had the opportunity to mentor under some truly amazing artists. Their tutelage has made me grow as an artist and has given me the confidence to pursue genres that I once found intimidating. The best example of this is painting en plein air. It seemed like only the big-time pros were able to master it, but my heart was drawn to it and, though I was intimidated, I had to try," says Dane.
